Progel SA is a company operating in the IT and software development sector, specialized in creating tailored digital solutions for its clients. Throughout 2025, the company launched an important project aimed at strengthening its cybersecurity posture, entrusting ISGroup SRL with the execution of a Web Application Penetration Test on the MyPlanet platform, one of the strategic web applications used for managing projects and customer relationships.

The challenge
In a constantly evolving technological environment, Progel SA faced the need to ensure that MyPlanet, the digital core of its business processes, was adequately protected from potential cyber threats.
The challenge consisted in verifying the robustness of the application without compromising the normal development and release cycle of new functionalities. ISGroup SRL’s intervention
To meet these needs, ISGroup SRL carried out a targeted Web Application Penetration Test on the MyPlanet platform, adopting an advanced methodological approach based on realistic attack scenarios. After a preliminary analysis phase to understand the architecture and logical flows of the application, ISGroup’s experts conducted a combined black-box and gray-box test, analyzing the security of the authentication mechanisms, session management, input validation, and configuration of the application components.
At the end of the activities, a detailed technical report was produced, containing the list of identified vulnerabilities, their classification based on risk level, and operational recommendations for their mitigation. ISGroup also supported Progel SA’s development team during the remediation phase, ensuring continuous knowledge transfer and promoting greater awareness of cybersecurity topics.
